While reading the whole case, I started crying but at the same time felt pity to "We the people of so call INDIA".

The best way to punish Rathore is take all what he has got till now....his property,house,bank balance,medals...everything he got because of his job...cos he doesn't have the right to keep them....give him 200 years imprisonment or the best is hang him...Also punish his wife as she is supporting her husband.....what would she have done if Rathore has done the same with his own daughter ....? would she support him then ?

Shame on the Judicial System of India, which takes such a long time to bring Justice in such cases. Its better to live in countries which give death penalty for molesting.

We are still waiting for a day when our ministers, police and army will really work for protecting the nation than being involved corruption and molestation.

In a population of million will there ever be a selfless leader who will work towards the progress of the nation than serving himself.

Why cant the politicians take this as a motto during their next election campaign that they will close all the pending cases running for years in our High Court and supreme court. That might bring justice to so many people.

The former DGP, is guilty not molesting a teenage girl (child molesting) as has been convicted by the CBI court, he is guilty of molesting his office, the police force, the law and administration. Had he been fair and cooperated with the law, it would not have taken more than 19 months to come out either clean chit or convicted and like a law abiding citizen, he should have faced the same sentence as now with a bit of remorse and submitted before the law. But he was clever far beyond; he toyed with the things and parried the very basic question for full nineteen years, fooling the public as well as law and evaded and avoided the justice obstructing its course by hook or by crook.

He is guilty of every thing, his office, his vow, his training, his teachers, his schools, his college, his family, his friends, his wife, his children, the very society in which he was allowed to achieve his goals, his friends and colleagues, the whole police force, because he cheated them all, their hopes, their aspirations and expectations as of him as the protector and preserver of law and justice. He has nurtured a strong wolf within himself and nourished his ego. The smile on his face was not that of braving the law but of befooling the system. Any extreme punishment will be too small for him. The government and the system as a whole should make necessary changes in the law and delivery of punishment and hasten the process. The society should get rid of such hungry wolfs the sooner the better. Make a case for the rest to follow dreadfully.

Well tell u what if this is the condition of law and order in this country then no economic progress will do any good............ bring strict law and order in the country and everything will start to fall in place...........our country is the perfect example of power corrupts! absolute power corrupts all!!!!!!!! i think he should not be hanged..but he should be given the most rigorous punishment possible under the Indian penal code so that he should live the rest of his life becomes hell and made to repent every second of his life for what he has done......... also another step that should be taken is his family should be made subject to the harshest of total social boycott!!!!! it is also a disgrace that his wife Abha Rathore stood by him! What kind of a devilish woman is she? How would she have felt if she herself or her daughter was subjected to same kind of physical abuse and then torture???????? It is shocking that a person on such a high position in the rank of the Police dept which is supposed to protect the ordinary citizens, could get away with such a light sentence.
The crime molestation and intimidation of the witnesses and other members of Ruchika's family- no less.
He should be behind bars and probably hanged for his crime.

It's a shame on part of every person who calls him self Indian. This is not just a criminal activity but also a disgraced legacy which will follow generations in the Rathore family. It is better to uproot the parasite plant rather cutting it down. This bloody criminal family should be openly punished for what they did to an innocent girl and a socially respected family. What was their fault??? Just because they are family members of the victim, they were also tortured, if that's the case why not Rahtore's wife, son and daughter be punished. Rathore is already moving towards his coffin, even he gets a life term, he would die in couple of years, instead his entire family should go through this hell. I am somehow not surprised as to why our country is still in the dumps despite the intelligence we claim to be blessed with. Ruchika is probably better off without having to deal with this. Her father and brother will get justice thats due, I admire everything about them and how they still fight day in and day out just to survive. Rathore on the other hand will get whats coming to him as well. In the different stages of hell that exist, rathore sure will be rewarded (if thats what the devil calls it) and surprisingly enough, his cronies will be there to witness the horror. Rathores sons and daughters, if you are reading this, i pity u most of all coz the sins of the fathers will be reflected on the health and fortune of the generations to follow. Many corrupt people in the police, courts, and administration have helped Rathore. It is not the first time that a protector of law himself has abused the law, but the question is how long will it take for the law of the nation to deal with offenders equally be it a prince or a pauper, a mighty judge or a minor thief. The arrogant smile on Rathores’ faces after the former DGP was let off lightly is actually a slap on the face of justice that we believe is equal for all.
