A CBI team from New Delhi quizzed Aradhana and her mother for several hours at their camp office here Saturday.

“We have narrated all the incidents since Aug 12, 1990, before CBI officials. They have recorded our statements and now we are hopeful of a speedy justice in this case,” Aradhana told reporters outside the CBI camp office here Saturday evening.

Madhu Prakash said: “We only want to see Rathore behind bars for all his remaining years of life. He is not at all remorseful for his act, which is totally intolerable in the civil society.”

Earlier, CBI officials had recorded the statements of Ruchika’s father S.C. Girhotra, and Aradhana’s father Anand Prakash Friday. Ashu, the brother of Ruchika, had also met the CBI officials Friday.

Rathore was convicted Dec 21 by a CBI special court here for the molestation of budding tennis player Ruchika Girhotra Aug 12, 1990, in Haryana’s Panchkula town, 10 km from here.

Ruchika committed suicide three years after the incident after Haryana police harassed her family and tortured her younger brother, Ashu, after implicating him in false car theft cases.
