Write for Us
We are a non-profit platform for the marginalized. We write about issues pertaining to Indian Muslims, Dalits and Adivasis, not to mention women/gender and make a conscious effort to cover all such issues neglected by the “elite media.”
What Are We Looking For?
Opinion pieces, analytical features, news stories, book reviews and personality-based write-ups (about a person doing great work for the community) — we accept all such submissions. Please ensure the piece is not dated, the write-up is coherent and the topic relevant to TwoCircles.net.
Language
Currently we accept submissions in English and Hindi.
Guidelines
- Authors are requested to preferably send previously unpublished works. Only in some cases do we accept previously published works — the decision rests solely with the editor.
- Please mention if the piece is sent simultaneously to other news organisations.
- General word length: 1,000–1,400 words. In rare cases, a two-part write-up may be considered if the topic deserves it.
- Include a two-line bio of the author.
- Attach a photo related to the content, or suggest a photo idea.
Pitching Story Ideas
We welcome story pitches from experienced and young journalists. We pay a flat rate of $40/story (via PayPal) plus reasonable travel expenses.
Stories should be news reports, not opinion pieces or stories based solely on interviews.

- What is the story?
- Why is this story timely, unique, important, and/or of interest to TCN readers?
- What is your plan — who will you interview, where will you visit, how many days?
- If travel is required, estimate the expense and number of days.
- Deadline: when should we expect the story ready for editing?
No Payment for Opinion Pieces
As a non-profit, we do not pay for opinion pieces. We are licensed under Creative Commons, which enables sharing and re-use of content.
