Other office-bearers are: Muvattupuzha Ashraf Moulavi, PK Ayyappan Master and PK Radha (vice-presidents), K Thulaseedharan Pallikkal, VT Ikramul Haq and A Nooorjahan (secretaries), Sam Kutty Jacob (treasurer), and CP Latheef, Adv Saleem, O Aliyar, AA Shafi, Yusuf Wayanad, Nasarudheen Elamaram, Adv KM Ashraf, SH Alhadi, Asi G Unni, G Rama and Khairunnisa (state committee members). National general secretary A Saeed and secretary MK Faizee led the election.

Earlier while inaugurating the valedictory public meeting of the state representative council, SDPI national president E Aboobaker opined that the spread of corruption to the Indian judiciary was dangerous. There are reports that former Supreme Court Chief Justice KG Balakrishnan had helped the CPI (M) in the Lavlin corruption case (in which CPI-M state general secretary Pinarayi Vijayan is accused). Now the CPI (M) is keeping silence when accusations are coming up against former Chief Justice. Tehelka reporter Shahina was booked accusing her of intimidating the witnesses who had testified against Abdunnasir Maudany. Even though the real culprits of the RSS are now caught, the innocents jailed in the Ajmer, Mecca Masjid and Jaipur blasts are still not released. The party will now onwards be in the fight for a withdrawal of the draconian laws, he added.
