AMU’s Mohd Sajjad Ahmad Khan gets fellowship of ICMR

Aligarh: Mr. Mohd Sajjad Ahmad Khan, Research Scholar, Department of Agricultural Microbiology of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been awarded with Senior Research Fellowship of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) New Delhi.

He will work on certain plants essential oils for their in vitro efficacy against drug resistant human pathogenic fungi in combination with antifungal drugs. His guide will be Dr. Iqbal Ahmad, Associate Professor of Department of Agricultural Microbiology. Dr. Iqbal is a well recognized in biological activities of natural products against drug resistant microbial pathogens and developing novel strategies combating infections.



A Post Graduate Gold Medal from AMU, Mr Sajjad has experience to work with Prof Javed Musarrat, Department of Agricultural Microbiology, AMU and Prof Moon Gyo Kim, Inha University, Korea.

His five research papers have been published in science journals while ten papers were presented in national and international conferences
