The situation worsens when nearly 100 people along with iron rods and choppad hit the area and started beating the vendors and whoever came in their way in the presence of police team led by Dongri Police Inspector, Anand Rokde. Police stood helplessly.

More so when Shadab Ali Chaudhry went to complain against the incident the Police Inspector, Anand Rokde, instead of helping him started beating him and alleged him of rioting with choppad.

Mother of Shadab, Sabira told reporters that, “Shadab, my son was fasting and he and 4 others were seriously injured but instead of helping the victims police started beating them and the culprits are set free.”

Meanwhile the news spread over and the people started gathering near Dongri Police Station. They agitated and demanded the registration of FIR against the culprit and release of innocent victims.

After this the leaders like, MLA, Abu Asim Azmi, Amin Patel, Minister of Minority Affairs Arif Nasim Khan and Minister of state for Home Ramesh Bagwe all visited Dongri and due to their pressure Police Inspector Rokde has been transferred to control room and a case has been registered against the Ganpati Mandal members.
