MP Govt. reconstitutes Madarsa Board

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government on 28th April reconstituted the state Madarsa Board, which had become defunct following the resignation of chairman SK Muddin in March 2007.

The newly constituted board consists of eight members and a chairman. Former state Minister Mohammed Gani Ansari has been named chairman of the board. Urdu scholar Maulvi Nihal Ashraf from Burhanpur and Arabic scholar Mohammed Fazil from Bhopal have been nominated members of the board. Other members of the newly constituted board are Iftikhar Nasir (Bhopal), Sheikh Matin Ahmed (Dewas), Babu Khan Single (Mandsaur), Salim Ahmed Baccha (Satna), Shahin Khan (Sagar) and Hakim Qureshi.

Former chairman of the board SK Muddin resigned on March 20, 2007 in the wake of some serious charges levelled against him.
