Rahmani Foundation to set up centre to produce Muslim scientists

Patna: After getting remarkable success at the Rahmani-30 coaching centre for Muslim aspirants for IIT-JEE, Rahmani Foundation of Munger has decided to set up a centre for producing scientists among the Muslim community in India.

According to a statement issued by Maulana Wali Rahmani, chairman of Rahmani Foundation, the step has been taken to provide guidance and opportunities to go ahead in the field of science for those Muslim students who did M.Sc. in Physics and got good marks.

The centre will be set up in Delhi under the guidance of professors of Delhi University especially Dr. Mohammad Naeemuddin who has been working as scientist in the US. The training will be given to selected students for one year and they will be provided with free food and lodging.

Maulana Wali Rahmani expressed hope that after one-year coaching the students will be eligible to take admission in any university of Western countries for Ph.D., and then they will be serving the country as scientists.

Aspirants from across the country can submit their applications with marks sheets by post or hand at the following address till 25th October.

IPS help for future techies from minority community

KOLKATA, 20 AUG: An officer of the Indian Police Service ~ in collaboration with the Rahmani Foundation ~ has taken up a project to assist Muslim students sitting for the IIT-Joint Entrance Examination.

Mr Abhayanand, additional director general of police (Bihar) and Rahmani Foundation would provide residential training to 60 students every year. The guidance will come free of cost.

The free residential training programme ~ called Rahmani 30 ~ has been started especially for boys of Muslim community. The campus is situated at Anishabad in Patna.

Students get selected on the basis of an entrance test and students who have scored at least 60 per cent in X or XII standard board examinations with Science and Mathematics as their main subject may take the test. Thirty students passing out from from class X and class XII each get selected. The selected class X students have to undergo a two-year residential training programme under the guidance of Mr Abhayanand and five other teachers of the institution while class XII graduates have to undergo the one-year residential training.
Students are provided with various facilities including food, lodging and necessary study materials.

Speaking about the programme, Mr Abhayanand said, learning a set of questions or solving a certain mathematics would not help students to get through entrance examinations like IIT-JEE. Knowledge sharing is an important aspect that helps a student to learn more and it is only possible in residential training programmes.

He further added that during the course of training programme, the faculty would motivate students to be self-dependent and give them necessary guidelines to solve difficult tasks by themselves.

Mohammad Wali Rahmani, chairman of Rahmani Foundation in Munger said, the residential training programme had been started in 2008 and all the ten students of Rahmani 30, who appeared for the IIT-JEE in April 2009, successfully cleared the entrance examination.

Currently, students can take the entrance test from three states ~ including Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal ~ to undergo the residential training programme to prepare for IIT-JEE. If everything goes as planned, examination centers will be set up in Mumbai, Chennai, Lucknow, Delhi, Nagpur, Maharastra and Aurangabad by May 2010.

Shamim Ahmed and Nadimul Haque look after the entire programme in the city and the authorities has plans to set up a campus in the city as well.

Result of Rahmani 30 Entrance Test declared

Patna: Rahmani Foundation declares the result of Rahmani-30 written Entrance test which was held on 7th June 2009 for class 12th Students. Rahmani 30 will provide selected Muslim aspirants of IIT (JEE) with free coaching, lodging and food.

The written test was held in 28 Centers in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal in which thousands of students appeared.

Rahmani-30 gets 100% results in IIT-JEE 2009

Patna: The first batch of Rahmani-30, the free coaching centre of IIT-JEE for Muslim students, has got 100% results in IIT-JEE 2009. Rahmani-30,established by Rahmani Foundation of Munger under the guidance of Mr. Abhayanand (ADGP) was came into existance last year for Muslim aspirants for IIT-JEE. Rahmani-30 coached 10 students in the first batch who appeared in IIT-JEE 2009. The results of IIT-JEE 2009 declared today brought smiles on the faces of Rahmani-30’s students, teachers and administration. All the 10 students of Rahmani-30 qualified this exam with flying colours.

Rahmani 30 to hold Entrance Test of Class XII students for IIT-JEE, on 7th June. Patna: After selecting 10th class students from Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal to coach them for IIT-JEE, Rahmani-30 free coaching centre is going to hold an entrance test for 12th class students on 7th June 2009. All the Muslim students who have completed or are in 12th class can appear in the entrance test which will be held at the same centers in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal where the test for 10th class students was held. Rahmani 30 to coach Class X students also for IIT-JEE, test on Apr. 5 Patna: The Rahmani 30, the free coaching centre run by the Rahmani Foundation of Munger for poor, talented Muslim students aspiring for IIT-JEE, has decided to intake students for Class X also from this year. The admission test will be held on 5th April 2009. Besides free of cost tutorial classes, the Rahmani 30 coaching centre also provides free lodging and food to the selected candidates. Students appearing for 10th class examination of 2009 either from State Board or CBSE will also be able to face the competition for the two years coaching course. It is notable that earlier this course was only for the 11th and 12th class students but now it has been decided to select 10th class students also because in the light of experience, the management of the coaching centre found that because of weakness in school education qualified students are not available in sufficient number for ITI and the centre had to make extra efforts to bring them to the required level. The institute aims to select 10th class students and to train them for ITI so at least 30 students will be chosen for the course every year. Rahmani Tutorials Result List of candidates selected for interview: The oral test for candidates will be held on 14-15 January at Chauhan Coaching Centre near Ghanta Ghar in Bhagalpur.
