Bhopal railway station accorded ISO certification

Bhopal : The railway station of Bhopal, the capital of central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, which is the most prominent station of Western Central Railway (WCR), has finally got certification from the International Standards Organization (ISO 9001:2000).
'Moody International' has accorded the certification to the Bhopal railway station for providing safe and punctual train operation and also for providing quality and passenger friendly amenities at the railway station.
An inspection team of International Standards Organization, (ISO), had visited Habibganj and Bhopal railway stations on March 18 this year and directed the railway officials to improve various facilities provided on the platforms of the station.
WCR Divisional Railway Manager, (DRM), Ashok Kumar Agrawal said that Habibganj railway station of the Bhopal Division was the first railway station, to be certified by the ISO, in 2003 and it was due to the praiseworthy efforts of the railway department due to which, the Bhopal railway station also became ISO certified.
Agrawal added that Habibganj railway station had again regained the status of an ISO certified railway station, after the certification expired a few months back. (pervezbari@eth.net)
