Deoband: Encouraged with the success of the recently held All India Anti-Terrorism Conference in Deoband, Uttar Pradesh, Maulana Syed Arshad Madani, secretary of education at Darul Uloom Deoband, hinted to hold more conferences.
Talking to reporters here on 27th February, Maulana Madani praised the role of media in spreading the message of the conference. He said the time came for the authorities of all schools of Islamic thought to come fore and strengthen the anti-terrorism movement because this was not a problem confronting any particular section or madrasa, rather it was an issue confronting the entire Muslim community.
Maulana Madani said the Islamic seminary had decided to hold such conferences in Lucknow, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and other places. In those conferences, Hindu religious leaders would also be invited to discuss the issue, he said.
Elaborating on the worldwide terrorism and extremism, Maulana Madani said Arab-Israel conflict, Israel’s barbarity and America’s blind support to Israel are the root causes of rise in extremism. To make the world safer, he said, the world community should solve the Palestinian issue.
