Top seeded Saina will now meet Malaysian Mew Choo Wong in the final.

Mew got the better of England’s Liz Cann, seeded fourth, 21-12, 18-21, 21-17. Saina would be a favourite to win the battle Thursday as she had beaten the Malaysian in the singles match of mixed team event final last week.

Saina was at ease in the first game and raced to a 11-8 lead. She consolidated the lead with some crisp net play and deceptive shots.

Susan tried to make a comeback in the second game when she levelled at 5-5 before Saina nosed ahead. Susan lost her cool when some close calls went against her and slumped to errors, before Saina finished the match in 33 minutes.
