Delegation of Iranian University visits AMU

Bhopal: A delegation from the University of Sistan and Baluchastan, (USB), Zehedon, Iran visited the Aligarh Muslim University, (AMU), today and met the AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis.

According to Dr. Rahat Abrar, Public Relations’ Officer AMU, Prof. Adam Torkamanzehi, Vice Chancellor, University of Sistan and Baluchastan, Iran pointed out that the main objective of this visit was to discuss and initiate various avenues which exist for scientific cooperation between the two Universities. He presented a draft proposal for cooperation and mutual interaction between AMU and USB.

AMU Vice Chancellor Prof. Azis said that the AMU will cooperate with USB in instituting journals of research in any field of mutual interest by offering expert editorial board assistance and contributing research articles. He said that both Universities agreed to exchange information in the form of books, scientific journals and student theses through their library systems.

The draft proposal also stated that both the parties will facilitate the contribution/ assistance of their faculty members and scientists to jointly organize conferences and scientific workshops. It was also discussed that Archaeology, Architectural Engineering, Persian, History, Biotechnology and Nanotechnology be given special consideration between the two Universities.
