Chennai : A case of cheating has been registered Saturday against Shiv Kumar, the promoter of software company Vispro, for allegedly cheating software professionals to the tune of Rs.800 million ($20 million), the police said.
According to the police, Kumar promised jobs to more than 1,000 candidates who paid between Rs.35,000 and Rs.200,000 per head for learning software skills and eventually getting employment. He then disappeared with the money even without paying salaries to the employees of the company for the last three months.
"I paid Rs.35,000 as fees and worked for over four months and I am yet to receive a certificate or independent job placement. On the contrary, I was forced to work sitting on a bench sans pay. I am suffering like hundreds of others," K. Rajesh, a complainant, told IANS.
However, Vispro lawyers denied the charges.
The complainant decamped with computer hardware, furniture and other assets of the company in lieu of wages and recovery of fees. Following this, the firm suffered irredeemable losses, Kumar's lawyers told police officials.
The police have arrested Ramanathan, a senior official of the company, in connection with the case.
Kumar and other accused were being sought, the police said.

My advice to people who are looking out for jobs is that dont ever join any company
that offers job after paying training fee.
Any company who trains the candidate using his/her money itself is not worth joining. when they are not in a position to train the candidate using company's money, who will they give salaries ranging more than 5000 ??? just give it a thought.

HYDERABAD: A software company at Madhapur has allegedly duped over 100 of its employees of lakhs of rupees by evading salaries for past two months and closing the office suddenly.
Madhapur police of Cyberabad on Tuesday registered a cheating case against Hearich Solutions software following a complaint.
According to Madhapur Inspector Bhujanga Rao, the company located at Kondapur collected Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 1,20,000 as deposit from each employee.
The company was established by Amit Banerjee six months ago. He stopped paying salaries to the employees for the past two months. Three days ago, Banerjee closed the office and went into hiding.
“We sent parties to his house at Moosarambagh but he was not found.
We’re questioning his family members,” the Inspector said.
SGC Cheated me
2 years back one company established in Bangalore name called SGC (Supergiga Computers) M.D. is Shivakumar. I paid Rs.45,000/- as a caution deposit. I worked around 5 months there. They paid just 3,000/- for 5 months. And they cheated 800 people. They given appointment letter & receipt for 45,000/-. In the offer letter they mentioned my salary is Rs.8000/-. 31st of August 2006 they close the company in the night & they went off. We put the case against Shivakumar. That fellow cheated like anything. That was the major scam in Bangalore i think. I have all the proofs i given the complaint against the company in Jayanagar. But no action taken place till now. Around 800 people were working in that company.

HYDERABAD: Employees of a software firm allegedly raided their office and took away some computers here on Sardar Patel road on Tuesday accusing their management of failing to pay their salaries. Later, they lodged a complaint against the company Supergiga Computer Systems Info Touch Private Limited (SCS) with the Ramgopalpet police. A cheating case was booked against the company. "The company managing director Shiva Kumar is absconding and not answering calls on his mobile phone," Ramgopalpet Inspector T. Nagaraj said. According to him, some 700 employees are working with the SCS. The company allegedly collected security deposits ranging from Rs.20,000 to Rs.40,000 from each employee and offered them training as well as monthly salary of Rs. 8,000 per person.
However, the firm was not paying wages for the past three monthsPolice said they did not receive any complaint about the alleged attack on the office till late in the night.

MANAGING director of Vispro IT firm Siva Kumar who cheated 1,500 of the company's employees here, is a known offender with a record of several white-collar crimes. There are also charges that he has cheated some women after marrying them in Hyderabad and Kancheepuram.
A special police team of CCB, which went to Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh in search of Siva Kumar (36), had come back with striking revelations about his criminal background.
Siva Kumar, an engineering graduate, had cheated hundreds of youths in Kancheepuram and Hyderabad in 2004. Though police had arrested him in Hyderabad, he was released on anticipatory bail, said a senior police officer to Express.
He later joined as a lecturer in a private engineering college in Andhra Pradesh in 2006, and persuaded the students there to join his new company in Chennai, said the officer and added that he had collected between Rs 10,000 and 50,000 from the 50 final year students of the college.
Using this money, he started Vispro IT firm in Anna Nagar here last year. Through advertisements, he attracted more students to take up jobs in the company on collection of deposits ranging from Rs 32,000 to Rs 2 lakh from them.
On his personal front, the police came to know that he had cheated four women after marrying them. He first married Banu, the daughter of his maternal uncle and has a child through her. She who lives in Vijayawada. Then he married a girl at Kancheepuram and was planning to marry a port employee.
After employees filed a complaint against him at Tirumangalam police station on May 8, he escaped to Vijayawada the same day and vacated his house there. The police said they would arrest him soon.

Don't join in Adithya Sai technologies..... It is a bogus company,that idiot M.D Shiva Kumar is a cheat. I was short listed in the campus recruitment conducted in S.N.S Rajalakshmi College of Arts and Science. There was no ppt...nothing.... Simply the registration fee was Rs.300. There was a written test, many of us cleared it(was so simple, only 20 Ques-half an hour). We were then interviewed and everyone were asked the same questions(Basic questions like diff between C and C++, Wat is array, pointer...). The results were announced(out of around 700, 154 were short listed)and i was one among them...The college rep told that the company people will be comming the next day...but they din com. We were asked to attend the next company-"Sap Neo Soft Tech"(Actually we saw this in a Job Fair in Hindu).
After two weeks i received a mail from Adithya Sai Technologies' team.....

we received the mail only 3 days before Oct 6th and when we went to that venue the M.D. demanded us to pay Rs.15000 cash(DD not accepted)on that day itself in turn he would give the offer letter and send the RECEIPT IN COURIER it seems. we asked for some time to pay the amount but he refused, then we told that we wud certainly pay it at the time of joining, he refused... One more thing we came to know that after joining we had to pay Rs.50000. So don't believe in such type of companies. Beware of Sap neo soft tech.

dont mix adithyasai and sapneosofttech. cause the companies are different. so we are known about adithyasai a lot but sapneosofttech is totally different from. ya it is a company working for 2 years with staffing 80.. now they are sifted to brookfield.

HYDERABAD: SDV Technologies, a Chennai-based software solutions provider, has announced the commencement of its Hyderabad operations and launch of Bank Shoppe, its second software product that enables banks to issue various instruments such as DDs (demand drafts) and POs (postal orders) through select established centres.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, the Chairman and Managing Director of SDV Technologies, Mr D. Sri Siva Kumaraha, said that the company was in parleys with some public sector banks for its banking products. The company, which has about 120 employees in Chennai, plans to locate about 60 in Hyderabad operations.
The company was also providing total branch automation solutions for the co-operative and scheduled banks, he said.

HYDERABAD: T.S. Shiva Kumar of Supergiga software company, who had been absconding for the past two months after allegedly duping nearly 1,000 jobless youngsters to the tune of Rs. 3 crores, was arrested in Tirupati on Wednesday.
A special police team picked up him at Tirupati and brought him to the city. Investigation revealed that similar cheating cases were registered against him in the police stations at Chennai and Gopalapuram and Madhapur in city a couple of years ago.
Kumar, a B.Tech graduate, after working with a software firm for a year in Chennai, set up his own firm `SDV Technologies' there. He used to collect Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 30,000 from jobless youngsters offering them data entry operator and software professional jobs with a monthly salary of Rs. 8,000.
After winning confidence of a few people and paying them salary for a couple of months, he would disappear with the amount collected from other job aspirants. He opened two branches of Supergiga in Secunderabad and collected Rs. 3 crores from 1,000 persons in August last and disappeared.
The Ramgopalpet police had registered a cheating case against him then.
