Iranian girl wins World Children's Picture Contest

Tehran : A nine-year-old Iranian girl, Kimia Abbasi was awarded the silver medal at the World Children's Picture Contest held in Japan.
In her painting, Kimia has drawn a family working on a farm in Iran, presenting relative harmony between human and nature.
In addition, the Ie-No Hikari Association awarded a plaque and a diploma of honor to the Iranian kid.
Some 51,300 paintings by children from 67 countries competed in the annual World Children's Picture Contest, of which only 200 were awarded prizes.
