Lucknow : The Uttar Pradesh government has shifted 14 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers including a senior officer in Varanasi where three sportspersons were beaten up for violating traffic rules.

Varanasi Senior Superintendent of Police S.B. Shirodkar was moved to Lucknow as the superintendent of police (intelligence headquarters).

Saharanpur Senior Superintendent of Police Vijay Praksh has taken his place. The changes took place Friday night.
