Speaking to reporters here, Scindia said his first priority would be to fulfil the responsibility given to him by Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
He added that new steps have been taken to improve the telecommunication sector and "the efforts made by me will start showing results in a couple of months".
In order to solve the congestion problems in the mobile network, the state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) would soon install 2,790 Base Transceiver Station (BTS) towers in Madhya Pradesh with special focus on cities like Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur, the minister added.
