
Man arrested for Indian student's murder in Britain

London : Police have arrested a 24-year-old man for the murder of an Indian student in Britain's Birmingham city.
"A 24-year-old man has today been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently helping the police with their enquiries," West Midlands police announced on its website Wednesday.
V.S. Jyothirmayee, a postgraduate student of health sciences at Wolverhampton University, was found dead Tuesday evening when police reached her rented house in the Birmingham suburb of Handsworth, about 190 km from here, in response to a call.
"A post-mortem examination has been conducted. It established that the 23-year-old woman died as a result of head injuries," the police said.
A man, who was also found in the house, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said.
Jyothirmayee hailed from Vijayawada town of Andhra Pradesh.
