Lucknow: A delegation of U.S. embassy officials in India is visiting Darul Uloom Deoband, the most revered Islamic seminary in the country, and Aligarh Muslim University.
The two-member delegation of James Tira, a political advisor, and Michael S. Passey, Second Secretary at the embassy, is visiting these two Muslim institutes to interact with Muslim scholars to clear America’s image on war on terrorism.
The delegation said the U.S. government was highly concerned about its general impression as anti-Muslim.
