Pakistan's Hajj policy to be announced

Islamabad : Pakistan s Hajj policy for 2008 will be announced by July 2008, said Religious Affairs Ministry Secretary Wakeel Ahmed Khan.

He told the reporters that his ministry has started work to come up with a Hajj policy for this year so that Pakistani pilgrims can get better service and comfort.

Khan that because of the continuous rise in fuel prices, the Pakistan International Airlines or PIA is not able to announce the new airfares to Saudi Arabia from Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar and Faisalabad.

We are hopeful that the Hajj policy will be finalized between March and April, 2008, the secretary said. However, the new policy will only be a modification of our 2004 policy which will remain valid till 2009.

Every year, given the specific requirements, amendments are made to the Hajj policy after recommendations from private Hajj tour operators. New policies from Saudi Arabia are also considered.

Pakistani Hajj Policy (Corrupted & Costly)

Pakistan will announce Hajj Policy, but it will costly, with full of corruption..
Our Government is corrupted, leader are NRO leaders, why should they think for the betterment of Islam & Muslims..

Hajj minister went to Saudi Arabia for Hajj arrangement, & took places so far from Khana-e-Kaba on high cost, took Kick backs on Hajj arrangement.. (what a shame).. 10% will go to their Co-Chairman (He always ready to take bribe & kick backs) May Benazir soul rest in peace..

So people, see what a great corruption & in justice that INDIA is facilitation their Minority Muslim peoples & we are taking Kick Backs & making Hajj soo Costly.. Great work by Great Governments of Pakistan.. Alway Corrupted & third class goverments in Pakistan.. Cheeeeee..

Dear my respected brother im agree with you, year 2007/08 Hajj dues was 137000 something like that but now so costly dear plz kindly tell me why its so costly plz
