Maharashtra : The Maharashtra government has decided not to appeal against the acquittal of prime accused in the 1993 Mumbai riots case. The riots broke out after the demolition of Babri Masjid on December 6, 1992. The government decision has angered Muslims, Urdu press and intelligentsia.

The Congress-NCP government came to power promising to implement the Srikrishna Commission Report. But taking a U-turn, the government took the latest decision. This will further deepen the community’s disenchantment with the secular parties.

In his front-page piece titled 'Muslim tanzeemon ki bedari ka waqt aagaya' on 1st February, Farooque Ansari of the Urdu Times criticized the government’s decision. He accused the government of double-speaking as it assures Muslims of implementing the Srikrishna Commission Report on one hand and tells the Supreme Court that any action against Bal Thackeray and other Sena leaders will create a law and order problem, one the other.

I think that we as Muslims

I think that we as Muslims must now understand that the Congress and our own Muslim brothers in the Congress are back stabbers and have no intention of fulfilling their promises.

At the time of elections these beggars will come to us begging in alms out vote and in return when they come to power go back on their words.

This coming elections I and my family members and Muslims in our area have decided to not vote for any Congress candidate 9evein if he is a good Muslim).

Hope that all Muslims must now come on a single platform to fight the Hindu terrorists and help our brothers and sisters falsely implcated in the Bomb Blast and other cases.

Muslims should understand and question as to why cant the authorities find any clues to the numerous blast that have taken place in Muslim locality, mosques, dargahs, etc.

Dear Muslims brothers & sisters think of it and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE come to a single platform when it comes to our betterment and help one another
