Hyderabad : Infotech Enterprises, a software services company with core competencies in geo-spatial data and technology services, and engineering design and IT services, has registered nine percent growth in its revenues during the second quarter that ended Sep 30.
Terming the growth as robust, the company said revenues grew sequentially 9.1 percent in dollar terms and 8.2 percent in rupee terms. Business momentum and environment continues to be strong for Infotech's offerings, said a company statement.
Revenues during the quarter were $39.42 million against $36.13 million in the previous quarter and $28.57 million during the second quarter in last fiscal.
The operating profit during the quarter was $7.17 million against $6.41 million during the previous quarter and $6.17 million during the same quarter last year.
"In the quarter we delivered a robust 9.1 percent sequential growth and 38 percent year-on-year growth in revenues in dollar terms, which is in line with our projections," said BVR Mohan Reddy, chairman and managing director, Infotech Enterprises.
The utilities, telecom and government verticals (UTG), and engineering manufacturing and industrial products (EMI) segments grew sequentially at 3 percent and 13 percent in dollar and rupee terms, respectively.
During the quarter, Infotech was recognised as a "gold site" by its major customer Pratt & Whitney. The company also entered into strategic partnership with Continental Data graphics (CDG), a subsidiary of the Boeing Company.
"With the help of the exposure in various currencies, we believe that margins are not likely to be impacted significantly any further. Going forward, we expect to continue delivering significant growth on the back of increased order intake, which is quite strong and visible in both the verticals."
During the quarter, the company added 768 people - 510 in UTG, 225 in EMI and remaining in support functions.
With more than 600 employees, Infotech Enterprises specialises in providing services and solutions for manufacturing, utilities, telecommunications, transportation, retail, and financial services.
